This seminar is designed to provide an interdisciplinary overview of social work and health care in Sub-Saharan Africa. It offers an integrated learning experience that incorporates assigned readings, presentations, and service-learning opportunities to engage students with cross-cultural awareness of social work practice from the African perspectives. The seminar presentations and discussions will center around the social work practices adopted in the rural districts of Ghana
Study achievements/examination achievements would be assessed through active in-class participation, individual or group presentations, and a written term paper (Schriftliche Hausarbeit - 10 -12 pages) respectively.
