Uni Siegen - E-Learning (Moodle)

Welcome to

The Zentrum für Informations- und Medientechnologie (ZIMT) at the University of Siegen offers the possibility to support courses web-based with the learning management system Moodle, i.e. virtual course rooms can be used to accompany classroom teaching.

First steps as a teacher

In order to create courses in Moodle, submit a request for creator permissions using the corresponding form on the BIC platform. 
In the block "Information" on the right you may find the manual "Short introduction for teachers" with instructions on how to create your first courses.

As course creator you will be registered as participant in the course "Moodle Portal für Lehrende" (i.e. "moodle portal for teachers"). There you will find e.g. current information, manuals, FAQs about Moodle.

First steps as a student

First time in Moodle? In order to use the moodle learning platform at the University of Siegen among other services, every student is required to activate his/her academic e-mail adress and his/her personal user account (ZIMT-account) respectively. Please refer to https://www.uni-siegen.de/en/ZIMT/activate-ZIMT-account.
(Please note: The access data for the ZIMT account do not apply for access to the information system unisono!)
On the right in the "Information" block you will find the PDF "Short introduction for students" with first steps in Moodle.
