This project is about exploring gamification methods and serious games in health care. The aim is to create and evaluate a prototype of a board game that can be used in group work to raise awareness among older people about what participatory research is, why it is particularly important in the health sector and what needs to be considered when conducting participatory research in healthcare. The design of the board game can be developed in cooperation with the Fab Lab.

If desired, students can also work independently on a project related to gamification / serious games in healthcare.


In this course, you will learn to develop an analogue game together in a team, with the help of which co-researchers are enabled to participate in a research process in healthcare.
In this project you will be confronted with participation, co-creation, participatory design, healthcare, serious games, gamification and qualitative methods.
