The students will learn about selected fundamental experiments and theoretical concepts of modern quantum optics and they will be provided with the necessary technical skills to start a master’s thesis. Within tutorials, the students will learns to recognize physics problems, to relate them to the course topics, to phrase them mathematically and finally to find a solution. The discussion of the aforementioned steps with other students as well as with teachers will deepen the understanding and develop communications skills for scientific discussions.
