This is an introductory course on the basic concepts of computer programming with a focus on object oriented programming using C++. Students have to do programming assignments throughout the course. At the end of the term, a written exam tests the C++ programming skills. Programming assignments and written exam contribute 50% each to the overall grade. We focus on programming with full knowledge about underlying processes, including the compiler and using the linux shell.
No prior knowledge about programming concepts are required, but this will of course mean more effort required to catch up.
